South Korean singer-songwriter Yves, best known as a former member of LOONA, has officially released her new EP Soft Error through PAIX PER MIL/ADA. The six-track project highlights her growth as a solo artist and continues her rise as one of the most exciting new voices in global pop.
The EP’s centerpiece is “Soap,” a collaboration with PinkPantheress that blends Yves’ dreamlike melodies with PinkPantheress’ trademark alt-pop style. The track also nods to Rebecca Black’s “Sugar Water Cyanide,” weaving in a playful sample that gives the song extra texture. Alongside “Soap,” the EP includes “White Cat,” a track built around airy synths and restrained intensity, and “Aibo,” which features Bratty delivering a Spanish-language guest verse that expands the record’s international feel.
Soft Error reflects Yves’ willingness to step outside strict genre lines. Her songs move easily between dream pop, alt-R&B, and electronic atmospheres, creating a body of work that feels unpredictable but carefully shaped. Yves describes this project as a moment of letting her artistry breathe freely, pushing her sound into new territory while still carrying her sharp pop instincts.
This release follows her April project DIM ∞ EP, which included reimagined versions of her viral track “DIM.” The original “DIM,” first featured on I DID: Bloom (Deluxe), has amassed over 30 million streams and sparked a global trend on TikTok, with over 20 billion views and millions of fan-made clips. The song also climbed to #1 on the U.S. TikTok Viral chart and topped the Global Top 200 K-Pop Shazam list.
Yves is also heading back on the road for the 2025 Cosmic Crispy Tour in Asia and Australia. The run began in Osaka on August 17, with stops in Tokyo, Taipei, Melbourne, Bangkok, and a major homecoming show in Seoul on September 28.
With Soft Error, Yves continues to prove herself as one of Korea’s most forward-thinking solo artists, combining sharp songwriting, inventive production, and a strong global presence.
