Voice of Doom's "Night Tide" starts out with as close to a Danzig vibe as you can get without doing a cover. The main riff has a Dirty Black Summer feel and the vocals are so exact that if I told you this was an old Danzig or SamHain song you'd have believed me. The descending melody the guitars play is killer and gives the track a gritty dark feel. The group vocal chorus helps the song escape the direct Danzig vibe and adds a new twist almost like taking the best of Danzig solo and The Misfits and combining it all into one song. The final result is something that any red blooded old school NJ punk will love.
