Underlined Passages Spreads Some Love To Music That Is Currently Inspiring Them

In anticipation of their new single, "Couples Therapy" (out 9/10 on Mint 400 Records, pre-save link here from the upcoming record "Neon Inoculation" (the band's first new record in four years), Underlined Passages is sharing a special playlist they curated that includes a lot of music that has been inspiring them in 2021. Jamaal Turner, percussionist for the band says about the inspiration for creating this playlist, "Music in 2021 is the stability and normalcy that we've been craving while dealing with chaos for the past two years. No matter what the state of the world, new music with new artists and old favorites prevail, and that is inspiring."

The band hopes to inspire artists and music lovers abound with this eclectic playlist that includes the ultramodern (see: Ellevator, Porches, Khurangbin) the recently modern (Ought, Briston Maroney), and some oldies but goodies (Al B. Sure!, Crowded House, Johnny Hates Jazz) amongst many others. Underlined Passages also picked some of their recent favorites from their Mint400 Records Labelmates (Lowlight, The Racer, Blue Vervain). Although not an exclusive list, Michael Nestor (guitars/keys/vocals) says, "we hate to leave anyone off from Mint400 because all the bands on our label are great, these are just some that have recently made their way onto our Spotify lists, and have inspired us to keep going while we put out a new record during the pandemic."

The new song, "Couples Therapy" will be out on Sept. 10th on Spotify and will be accompanied by a video as well, dropping Sept. 7th. Look for the band on the road when it is safe to do so, hopefully in 2022.

Here is this cool playlist made with love and care from Underlined Passages, enjoy!
