The Rumjacks Announce Deluxe Edition of Dead Anthems

Celtic punk band The Rumjacks have just announced the deluxe edition of their latest album, Dead Anthems. The new version dropped on May 30 through FOUR FOUR Records and includes six bonus tracks. Fans can expect new demo versions of “Scandal” and “Some Legends Never Die,” along with acoustic live recordings of “Cold Like This,” “Eye For An Eye,” “October,” and “The Kick You When You’re Down.”

This release comes after the band’s high-energy tour across the UK and Europe. Now, The Rumjacks are gearing up for a summer tour in North America. They’ll kick things off in Canada this June, including a stop at the Red Bridge Festival in Pont-Rouge, Quebec. From there, they’ll head to the United States for shows across the Midwest and East Coast.

Dead Anthems follows their 2021 album Hestia, which was praised by Kerrang! for its strong mix of lyrics and storytelling. Dead Anthems continues that path, with songs that explore themes of personal reflection, loss, and resilience. The track “Eye For An Eye” was highlighted by Brooklyn Vegan as a powerful song about cycles of violence, with a strong chorus that’s sure to be popular on tour.

The album was recorded in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It was co-produced by the band’s own Mike Rivkees and Pete Steinkopf, founder of The Bouncing Souls. Steinkopf has worked with other respected punk and rock artists, including Beach Slang, The Menzingers, and Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem.

Critics have called Dead Anthems a strong addition to The Rumjacks' work. Punk Rock Theory said the album helps place the band alongside well-known acts like Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys, while New Noise Magazine praised its mix of energetic and emotional songs.

With the deluxe edition coming soon and a new tour about to begin, The Rumjacks continue to show their power as one of today’s leading Celtic punk bands.
