The Chelsea Curve Kick Into High Gear With ‘The Rideout’

Boston mod-pop trio The Chelsea Curve deliver a fast and melodic sophomore album built for movement, connection, and spring energy.

Boston mod-pop trio The Chelsea Curve have released their sophomore album The Rideout, now available on CD and digital through Rum Bar Records. The record arrives with a burst of energy, capturing the feeling of warm weather, open roads, and living in the moment.

Made up of Linda Pardee, Tim Gillis, and Bruce Caporal, the band leans into a bright and punchy sound shaped by British mod culture and American power-pop. The Rideout brings together seven tracks that move fast and hit hard, mixing sharp guitar tones, driving drums, and melodic hooks that stay locked in from start to finish.

The album includes earlier singles Kindawanna, Never Come Down, and Rally ‘Round, along with new songs Ride, Outta My Head, I Can’t Help It, and In Real Life. The lead track Ride sets the tone with a direct and high-energy feel, built around tight rhythm and bold vocal delivery. Across the record, the band keeps things lively while adding more layered textures compared to their earlier work.

While The Rideout keeps the band’s core sound intact, it also pushes into new territory with a fuller and more detailed production style. Recorded across several studios in Massachusetts and produced by the band, the album balances grit and polish without losing its edge. The songs move quickly, but each one carries its own shape and tone.

Lyrically, the album centers on connection, freedom, and making the most of time. That message feels grounded in the band’s recent path, which has included lineup changes and personal challenges. Instead of slowing down, The Chelsea Curve use those moments as fuel, turning them into something upbeat and forward-moving.

The band has already taken the album to the stage with recent live shows and plans to continue supporting the release with select performances. Known for their energetic sets, they bring the same sense of movement and momentum from the record into a live setting.

With The Rideout, The Chelsea Curve deliver a focused and vibrant mod-pop album that blends speed, melody, and style into a tight and engaging release.
