Los Angeles singer-songwriter Sofie Alise has released her highly anticipated debut EP, Break from the Bends, out now via Hall of Fame Artists. Blending smoky jazz-inflected vocals with pop and soul undertones, Sofie captures the chaos, fragility, and beauty of growing up — turning moments of heartbreak and introspection into art that feels deeply lived-in.

A UC Berkeley student with a background in classical voice, she writes songs that fuse personal reflection with polished production, carving out a sound that’s too soulful for pure pop and too confessional to fit into any box. Her earlier singles, especially “talk sh!t” — praised by Los Angeles Magazine for its intensity and relatability — helped establish her as one of 2025’s most promising new voices.

Produced in collaboration with Justin Gray (known for work with Mariah Carey and Ava Max), Break from the Bends showcases Sofie’s ability to transform private emotions into bold, cinematic songwriting.
