Fun mellow indie rock with a little bit of country twang kind of in the vein of Social Distortion but with a more nasally John K from The Weakerthans type vocal. On second listen it becomes more apparent that the peppy first part of the song is going for Neutral Milk Hotel vibes. The video is a great animated lyric video that helps tune the listener into the lyrical content. The mellow break half way through the song where everything winds down and turns almost into a slow country song with an Elliott Smith vibe is a nice dynamic change that helps to keep the song interesting.
