PULSE PARK: SINE WAVE (Single Review)

I was a little shocked when I first started streaming this track that it was put out by Shoredive Records as it is not as dark or experimental as some of the other things I’ve heard from them. Pulse Park is very straight forward indie rock kind of like an early 2000’s indie sound in the vein of Jimmy Eat World or even Nada Surf but with more of just an easy going flow about it. It’s hard to pin down exactly, the vocal is mellow and almost like Jon Auer of The Posies but over jangly and with fuzzy indie guitars. I can appreciate that this track has a good groove to it and doesn’t really do much with dynamics. This is one of those singles that grows on you the more you hear it, all of the melody is in the singer’s vocals and it becomes the focal point of the track.
