Texas punk trio Panther Revival have released a fiery new single called “Unreliable Narrator.” The band, known for their hardcore sound and political lyrics, originally planned to save the song for their next album, but decided it was too important to wait.
“Unreliable Narrator” is loud, fast, and full of rage. Produced by Jacob Price Zazz, the song takes aim at people in power who try to change or hide the truth about history. The band calls out efforts to remove important facts from school lessons and public records.
“I wrote this song last year,” says singer and guitarist Kennedy Rice, “and it’s only become more true since then. It’s about standing up to the people who try to control how we remember the past.”
The band mixes rough guitar, heavy drums, and shouting vocals to create a sound that feels urgent and raw. Fans of hardcore and punk music will recognize the group’s sharp style, full of energy and anger—but with a clear message behind every word.
Panther Revival comes from Greenville, Texas, and is made up of Kennedy Rice (vocals/guitar), Chris Edwards (drums), and Sam Boatner (bass). Their 2024 debut album Animality introduced them as a loud and honest voice in the underground punk scene. Since then, they’ve built a name for wild shows and music that challenges unfair systems.
Some have described their sound as a mix of Body Count, AFI, and La Dispute. At shows, the band is known for jumping into the crowd and getting fans involved in the chaos. They’ve become one of the boldest new punk bands in the country.
“Unreliable Narrator” is streaming now on all platforms through Punkerton Records. It’s a clear sign that Panther Revival has no plans to slow down.
