Montreal punk band The Last Mile has unveiled their latest video and the album, Holding On To Hope, which dropped on April 11. The record was released Thousand Islands Records and Pavones Records.
Holding On To Hope marks the band’s second full-length and shows their continued evolution. While staying true to their punk roots, the new songs lean further into modern hardcore, giving their sound an urgent and raw energy. The album’s artwork was created by John Yates of Stealworks, whose past work includes designs for Lifetime, Jawbreaker, and Bad Religion.
The album was recorded in Vancouver with longtime collaborator Jesse Gander (Brutus, Japandroids, DBS, Daggermouth) and mastered by Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room. The production sharpens The Last Mile’s sound, balancing melodic punk with heavier, emotionally charged elements.
