Goddam, Midnight 76 has just annihilated their previous effort with utter chaos!
While the previous Other Animals was somewhat experimental, it was brilliant.
This new self-titled beast of a record has a more specific direction and is beyond heavy.
It grooves and pounds the listener into submission, demanding you to listen closely, as not to miss a thing.
The songwriting is impeccable, and the diversity of instruments and effects is extremely satisfying.
Don’t get me wrong, it settles down at times, but just enough to let the listener know how intricate they can be.
All hail Damian Necochea for another gem.
If I had to compare: A heavier version of Killing Joke with a dash of good NIN
