London-based indie rock outfit Lunar & The Deception have officially released their new single “Your Monsters,” alongside their full-length album The Somnambulist, both out now via X-Ray Sound. The single serves as a powerful entry point into a record that blends darkwave textures, dream pop atmospherics, and neo-psychedelic weight into something immersive and theatrical.
“Your Monsters” opens with sparse piano drifting over a low, steady bassline before Britt Xyra Dusk’s smoky vocals take center stage. The arrangement gradually expands as swirling guitars and layered harmonies build tension, shifting between light and shadow. The chorus surges forward with dramatic force, balancing classical undertones with heavy, distorted drive.
