Nashville-based band Justin Webb & The Noise has just dropped their latest single, “Desperate Man,” ahead of their debut album, Stupid Young, set to release on October 4 via Chicken Ranch Records. The album, produced by Jared Reynolds, known for his work with Ben Folds and Hayes Carll, promises to deliver a fresh yet nostalgic rock sound.
"Desperate Man" was originally written about a lost love, but over time, its meaning evolved for frontman Justin Webb. He now sees it as a reflection of his relationship with music, and the longing to return to it after years away. The track’s emotional depth is paired with a gritty, rock-driven sound that echoes the band’s raw energy.
The upcoming album Stupid Young also features the previously released single “A Rose To Chew On.” This track showcases the band's ability to blend authentic rock elements with a modern twist, receiving praise from critics for its powerful sound. Recorded at 3 Sirens Studio in Nashville, the album was tracked live, capturing the spontaneous and genuine spirit of the band.
Justin Webb & The Noise is made up of former members of the garage band We Were The States. The group includes Webb on guitar and vocals, Ben Moore and Will Pettus on co-lead guitars, and Ben’s siblings Bryan and BJay Moore on drums and bass, respectively. Together, the five-piece band brings a cohesive and dynamic energy to their music.
The band will celebrate the release of Stupid Young with a hometown show in Nashville at The Basement on October 10. Fans can expect a performance that showcases the raw, live energy that defines both their recordings and stage presence.
