Connecticut post-hardcore band In 2 Again have released their new EP, Coins, Currency, Tokens, and Other Related Objects, alongside a music video for “New Miss Mastic” and a summer run of tour dates with Balmora.
Connecticut post-hardcore band In 2 Again have returned with their latest EP, Coins, Currency, Tokens, and Other Related Objects, released through DAZE and Takedown Records. The six-song collection builds on the momentum the group established with their 2024 debut EP, It's All Red To Me, while further refining a sound rooted in early 2000s post-hardcore.
Alongside the EP's release, the band have also unveiled a music video for "New Miss Mastic," one of the record's standout tracks. Serving as a tribute to their home state of Connecticut, the song captures the band's mix of sharp songwriting, emotional intensity, and energetic musicianship.
In 2 Again draw heavily from a generation of post-hardcore bands that blurred the lines between multiple styles of heavy music. Their sound combines angular guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and dynamic vocal performances that move between melodic hooks and aggressive screams. Influences from bands such as Glassjaw, Snapcase, and early Incubus can be heard throughout the EP, but the band approaches those inspirations with a modern perspective.
Across six tracks, Coins, Currency, Tokens, and Other Related Objects delivers a fast-paced listening experience filled with shifting grooves, punchy percussion, and socially aware themes. Songs like "Combo," "Shed Hunting," and "Our Disease Is Dressed To The Nines" showcase the band's ability to balance chaos and melody without sacrificing either element.
The EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by drummer Chris Torok at The Source in New Haven, Connecticut. The result is a record that feels both polished and immediate, capturing the energy that has helped the band build a reputation on stages throughout the Northeast.
Since forming, In 2 Again have become a notable name within the region's heavy music community, sharing connections with bands including Balmora and Kidnapped. Their growing profile will continue this summer when they join select dates on Balmora's upcoming tour alongside Empty Shell Casing, Killing Pace, and The Test Dream.
