Today, Brooklyn's Hanford Reach is back with another terrific single “Out Of Dreams” available from Favorite Friend Records. It's the second single from the band's debut full-length, After Image, which is scheduled for release on May 26th. The album follows a string of great singles and two EPs from the band, including their 2020 apocalyptic-themed epic, "Sitting On the Edge of the World." The vocals float in an ethereal manner above the music in a reverb soaked tone above a great jangly but dark indie track. The thing that makes the track interesting is the little off kilter breaks between parts which almost sound Portishead-ish. The band has a gothy element on this new single that is very My Bloody Valentine in aesthetic but the synth tones make it modern. The song builds off of the sonic foundation that the band laid on the lead single from After Image, "Malibu Grey Shades." A luscious synth line kicks in immediately, before swirling, fuzzed-out guitars take control. It's another vast sounding track that demonstrates the band's ability to create gorgeous psychedelic dreamscapes.

Brooklyn neo-psych outfit Hanford Reach intends to find out on their forthcoming album, After Image. The project’s first-ever full length, due out this spring on Favorite Friend Records, represents a far-out, coming of age collision of both. Across its eight tracks, the group reflects on a variety of identity-centric themes like finding love, longing for connection, and of course, trying to find your place in this vast, complex world.
