Emmalee Rainbow Shares New Single “I’ve Had Some Wine,” Announces West Coast Dates

Los Angeles–based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Emmalee Rainbow has released her new single “I’ve Had Some Wine,” marking the first taste of a forthcoming EP due later this spring. The track arrives with a reflective tone and a wide, cinematic feel, blending personal songwriting with a sense of scale that stretches beyond the bedroom-pop frame.

“I’ve Had Some Wine” moves slowly and deliberately, built on moody textures and a steady rhythmic pulse. Maxx Morando (Miley Cyrus, Liily) appears on drums, grounding the song with a restrained but driving performance. Sonically, the track nods toward the atmospheric melancholy of ’80s alternative and post-punk while staying rooted in modern indie rock, balancing intimacy with ambition.

The song was written in Emmalee’s Notes app on her 21st birthday in Las Vegas, and it reflects a moment of self-awareness shaped by contrast. The lyrics sit in the space between wanting more and feeling stuck, capturing the tension between big dreams and everyday routine. Rather than pushing toward excess, the song leans into longing, letting repetition and gradual build carry its emotional weight.

As the track unfolds, it grows in intensity, layering guitars and synths into a slow-burning swell. The payoff feels earned rather than explosive, giving the song a cinematic arc that mirrors its themes of yearning and restlessness. It’s a patient, emotionally focused release that sets a clear tone for the upcoming EP.

Alongside the single, Emmalee Rainbow has announced a short run of West Coast shows in January. The dates include performances in Los Angeles, Los Osos, and Santa Barbara, offering fans an early chance to hear new material live.

Emmalee Rainbow’s creative path has spanned multiple disciplines. Before focusing on music, she appeared as a child actress in film and television and later gained attention as a trained chef on a national cooking competition series. Musically, she independently released her debut EP Origin in 2022, followed by a live EP recorded at the Teragram Ballroom in 2023.

With “I’ve Had Some Wine,” Emmalee Rainbow steps into a more expansive sound while staying emotionally grounded, setting the stage for a new chapter that blends reflection, atmosphere, and quiet resolve.
