CLONE Release Explosive New EP Care To Try via Little Cloud Records

Brooklyn’s boundary-pushing alt-rock outfit CLONE have returned with their latest release, the Care To Try EP, now out digitally and as a limited-edition 7” vinyl via Little Cloud Records. The three-track collection captures the band’s unfiltered energy — a collision of angular post-punk, brooding alt-rock, and politically charged urgency that’s both cerebral and visceral.

The EP features the tracks “Care To Try,” “Galvanized,” and “Libras at Dusk,” each powered by the group’s signature tension between melody and dissonance. Drawing on influences from Fugazi, Gang of Four, The Cure, and Sonic Youth, CLONE fuse jagged guitar textures with raw, emotional songwriting to create a sound that feels both timeless and current.

Recorded at Martin Bisi’s legendary BC Studio — the same creative hub that has hosted sessions with Sonic Youth, Swans, and Brian Eno — the EP was produced by LG Galleon and Bisi, and mastered by Fred Kevorkian (The White Stripes, Regina Spektor). The result is a tightly coiled release that channels intensity through atmosphere, with moments of both ferocity and restraint.

Formed by LG Galleon (Dead Leaf Echo), Gregg Giufree (Pilot to Gunner), Max Idas, and Dominick Turi, CLONE’s new material expands on the momentum of their acclaimed 2024 debut album CL. 1, which introduced the band’s bold fusion of post-punk and art-rock experimentation. Cover photography for Care To Try was created by Simon Larbalestier, best known for his iconic work with Pixies and 4AD Records, further cementing the band’s ties to the genre’s visual and sonic heritage.

A force onstage as much as in the studio, CLONE’s current lineup features LG Galleon, Paul Liziragga (Namesake), Alex Cox (The Veldt), and rotating drummers Avery Brooks and Jeremy Duvall. Known for electrifying performances, the band will tour throughout October in support of the new release.

Care To Try is available now on all digital platforms and as a collectible 7” vinyl edition. A full-length album is slated for release in 2026.
