Brooklyn’s post-hardcore band Common Sage has announced their upcoming album Closer To;, set for release on November 22 via Equal Vision Records. The album was produced by Brett Romnes, known for his work with Anxious, Oso Oso, and Hot Mulligan. The band has also dropped a music video for their new single “Vehicles,” which is now available for streaming. Directed by Rich Weinberger (Gatherers), the video gives a haunting visual to the song’s heavy themes.

“Vehicles” delves into the idea of life as a temporary vessel, inspired by the beliefs of the Heaven’s Gate cult. Frontman Julian Rosen explains that the song explores dissatisfaction with reality and the search for deeper meaning, though it suggests that perhaps no ultimate meaning exists.
