Between rock and electro, two friends play cinematic and introspective music. This French crew is propelled by Tom on drums while the ghostly (but mighty) shapes of the landscapes are drawn by Kevin on synths and guitar. The lyrics, in English, tells the different states of mind, between the doubts and the melancholy that sets in during this initiatory journey. Their new EP “Icy”will be released on the 12.05.23 on the independent label Shore Dive records from Brighton, UK that specializes in shoegaze, dreampop and indie of the dreamy persuasion. Neist Season will play a release party for the EP at Le Grenier A Bieres in Pontivy on the 12th of May 2023.
Neist Season blends synthesizers with guitars and vocals to achieve his indie-rock oriented and synthesized dreams, and the result is a record which sounds and approaches quite close to the krautrock constellations. A soft visual universe that gives way to reverie and a music that mixes rock, electronic music and English lyrics. The band creates wonderfully crafted pieces of experimental pop that mixes elements of synthwave, dreampop and indie rock to create intelligent, well-crafted songs. Fans of M83, Tycho, The Postal Service etc...
Originally from Brittany, his affection for the sea and its aesthetics is present in his visual universe. The clip for the song “Lost Island” was, for example, shot in August 2020 by visual creator Hugo Mouillé, in the Gulf of Morbihan on the island of Arz. It was made with his parents' sailboat with which he learned to sail. A video shot in the early morning in a marine universe, relaxing and intimate, with a nice shade of blue.
The new video was shot by Jeremy Jagu at the Cite Des Telecoms museum in front of the pb01 aerial used in the 60s for direct transmission with the United States Of America.The rest of the video was shot on the picturesque Brittany coast.
The band will be touring around France between May and October.
