Andy Stochansky Unveils New Single 'Champion' Ahead of 2025 Album

Andy Stochansky, a talented singer, songwriter, and producer originally from Canada and now based in Los Angeles, has released his new single “Champion.” This track is the second single from his upcoming album, Poetry of Birds, set to come out in early 2025.

“Champion” stands out with its acoustic guitar and soft synths, showcasing Andy’s clear and emotional vocals. The song captures his storytelling style, influenced by small moments and everyday life. Andy explains that the song’s inspiration came from watching a waitress handle a busy diner shift. He admired her calm strength and skill, which became the story behind “Champion.”

Andy’s music reflects his deep appreciation for life’s simple and beautiful moments. Poetry of Birds follows this idea, focusing on finding peace in nature and stepping back from the fast-paced modern world. Andy’s long and successful career has given him unique insights, which he brings into his music. He started as a touring musician for Ani DiFranco and released his first solo album, Radio Fusebox, in 1999. Over the years, he created more albums, like 5 Star Motel and 100, the latter produced by Johnny Rzeznik from Goo Goo Dolls.

Beyond his own work, Andy has written songs for artists such as Dragonette and co-wrote “Hyper Love” for Ferry Corsten, which reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Dance Chart. He also wrote “Northern Lights” for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 soundtrack, which was a major success.

With Poetry of Birds, Andy returns to his solo roots, driven by a desire to share his voice again. Songs like “Beautiful Sky” touch on themes of stepping back from social media and enjoying nature, while “Oxygen” is about supporting a friend through hard times. The title track, “Poetry of Birds,” honors those who teach us to respect life and nature.

Andy Stochansky’s music reminds listeners to appreciate small moments and find hope in simplicity. Andy Stochansky's thoughtful approach to songwriting makes Poetry of Birds feel like a heartfelt reminder to slow down and cherish life’s simple joys.
