Argentine band Buenos Vampiros has officially launched their European debut with the release of two singles, "Puedo ver el mar en tus ojos" and "No tengo idea." The songs are previews of their upcoming third studio album, Entre sombras, which will be available across Europe on March 20, 2025, through Spanish label Spinda Records. The album will be released digitally, on CD, and in three limited-edition vinyl pressings.
Formed in 2018 in Mar del Plata, Buenos Vampiros consists of Ignacio Perrotta and Irina Tuma on guitars and vocals, Mora Murguet on drums, and Luana Giobellina on bass and backing vocals. They have become one of the leading names in the new wave of Argentine rock, performing alongside acts like Fin del Mundo, Mujer Cebra, and Winona Riders. Their sound merges post-punk, new wave, and dream pop, creating a balance between atmosphere and rhythm.
Buenos Vampiros have built a dedicated following through their live shows, selling out venues in Uruguay and Chile and performing at major festivals such as Primavera Sound Buenos Aires and Festival Nuevo Día. They have also shared the stage with international artists like DIIV, Dry Cleaning, and American Football.
Their upcoming album, Entre sombras, follows 2019’s Paranormal and 2022’s Destruya!. It features 11 tracks that shift between light and darkness, both musically and thematically. The album was produced, recorded, and mixed by Estanislao López and includes artwork by Santi Moscardi. A special highlight is a collaboration with Spanish post-punk icon Ana Curra (Alaska y Los Pegamoides, Parálisis Permanente) on two songs.
"Puedo ver el mar en tus ojos" builds a deeply introspective and immersive world, with melancholic tones that reflect both beauty and longing. Meanwhile, "No tengo idea" takes a more direct, rhythmic approach, blending danceable drum and bass grooves with ethereal guitar textures and hypnotic vocals.
Buenos Vampiros stand out for their ability to craft emotionally resonant music while pushing the boundaries of post-punk and dream pop. Their European debut marks an exciting new chapter, one that will surely find an audience drawn to both their delicate atmospheres and dynamic energy.
