SAN TROPEZ SHOWCASES NEW MUSIC ON LAKEHOUSE LIVE STUDIO SESSION

San Tropez, known for their unique blend of shoegaze and dream pop, recently delivered an inspired live session at Lakehouse Recording Studios in Asbury Park, NJ. The event, which aired on Friday, April 12, is part of the ongoing Lakehouse Live series. This series features a mix of local talents like Dentist, Sonic Blum, and Operants, as well as national acts including Evan Dando of The Lemonheads, accompanied by interviews with industry figures such as radio DJ Jeff Raspe and photographer Danny Clinch.

During the session, San Tropez performed two tracks from their latest album on Mint 400 Records (and Shore Dive Records in the UK), Maybe Tomorrow. The songs, “Apartment Voice” and “Valley and the Shore,” were released earlier in 2023. They also debuted “Swear Off the Sunlight,” a promising glimpse of their upcoming second album expected later this fall. Additionally, the band recorded “Reverb Pedal,” which will be released as a stand-alone video on the Lakehouse Live YouTube channel on Friday, April 19, alongside the three other songs from the set.

Echoing the format of Seattle’s legendary KEXP radio station, the Lakehouse session interspersed performances with short interviews conducted by Ashley Hill, studio manager at Lakehouse Recording Studios. Band members Ralph Nicastro (guitar, vocals), Albie Connelly (guitar, vocals), Frank Bridges (bass), Andrew Fountas (drums), and Phil Pirri (keyboards) shared anecdotes about their musical journeys in New Brunswick, NJ, during the 90s.

Fans of San Tropez can catch them live performing with Sacred Lawns and Binturong on May 11, also at Pino’s.
