NO TIME FOR CAUTION: CUES LP

Songwriter Ryan Crosby is musically a pretty busy guy this year. His previous project, which was originally signed to Deep Elm Records is getting new life, The Cast Before The Break has signed with Mint 400 Records and they are putting out a lost record later this year. However Crosby also is the man behind the project No Time For Caution with his Cast Before The Break bandmate Lars Ewell. This album previously released with no label is now getting a re-release through Mint 400 Records instrumental and jazz label Raining Music and it will be on all streaming services on Januaty 28th.

No Time For Caution is one of those albums you can put on, space out to and not even realize an hour has gone by. The album has an erie ambience in line with bands like Explosions In The Sky. The album ebbs and flows in and out of haunting slow more tonal explorations but then veers into tracks that are held together with booming drums. Overall the album makes a good fit with the Raining Music label and projects like Canada’s Defend The Rhino and Boston’s R|verghxst. If cinematic soundscapes is your thing then dig right in because I think you may enjoy this.
