clâm Release Debut Album Here and Now With Expansive Psych Sound

International group delivers a layered mix of psychedelic rock, ambient textures, and rhythmic energy on their first full-length release.

clâm have officially released their debut album Here and Now, introducing a sound that blends psychedelic rock, ambient tones, and fuzz-driven intensity with flashes of disco rhythm. Built across different countries and backgrounds, the project brings together a wide range of influences into a single, immersive listening experience.

At the center of the album is the title track, “Here and Now,” which first introduced the band’s approach. The song unfolds slowly, building from calm, meditative passages into a fuller and more powerful finish. Soft vocal layers and drifting guitar lines move alongside steady bass and controlled drums, creating a sense of motion that grows over time.

The full album expands on that idea. Tracks shift between quiet and loud, light and dark, always focused on contrast and balance. The band leans into long-form arrangements, allowing sounds to stretch and develop instead of rushing toward a quick peak. This approach gives the music a reflective tone while still holding onto a strong rhythmic core.

clâm’s lineup reflects its global makeup. Michelle Blythe handles vocals, bringing a clear and expressive presence to the songs. Guitarist Sven Hollmann adds textured and atmospheric layers, while bassist Eddie Blythe and drummer Björn Giebler lock in the rhythm with a tight and steady foundation. Together, they create a sound that feels both loose and carefully shaped.

The album explores themes tied to daily life and larger ideas at the same time. It moves through moments of tension and release, suggesting both inner reflection and outward energy. There is a sense of connection running through the record, shaped by the band’s focus on shared experience and creative collaboration.

With Here and Now, clâm present a debut that is both detailed and open-ended. The album invites listeners to sit with its shifts in tone and texture, offering a full journey rather than a single fixed mood.
