Wild Wild Wets Share “Sunshine Sue” From Forthcoming Album Time Mutations

San Diego psychedelic rock collective Wild Wild Wets return with “Sunshine Sue,” the third single from their upcoming fourth album Time Mutations, out August 22, 2025 via Salton Sea Sound System. The track arrives with a new video, and pre-orders for the record are now available, including a limited “Mutation Isle Splatter” vinyl and a bundle featuring FUZZ Coffee’s Guatemala Cubulco roast. The special coffee pairing was created to match the record’s immersive listening journey.

Time Mutations was recorded live at Earthling Studios in El Cajon, California, with the band handling production. Mike Kamoo engineered, mixed, and mastered the album. The result is a wide-reaching record that blends dreamlike psychedelia, raw funk grooves, and experimental art rock, shaping an otherworldly sonic landscape.

On “Sunshine Sue,” the band describes a hypnotic track carried by a circular rhythm in 5/4 time. The layered vocal harmonies and textured melodies add both mystery and intensity. They explain, “The third reveal from our forthcoming concept album Time Mutations alludes to our Mad Science protagonist bringing his creations to life… Who are YOU, Sunshine Sue?”

Frontman Mike Turi, who also designed the album artwork, says the new record is about building strange new worlds and testing the boundaries of humanity. “Imagine Dr. Moreau meets Ziggy Stardust,” he shares, describing the project as a surreal journey that balances wonder and unease.

Wild Wild Wets first formed in San Diego’s thriving psychedelic scene and have built a reputation for explosive live shows and adventurous studio releases. Their music pulls from psych-rock traditions while constantly pushing into new experimental territory. With Time Mutations, the band expands their vision even further, offering listeners an escape into a cinematic soundscape that is both strange and inviting.

Time Mutations arrives August 22, 2025, via Salton Sea Sound System. Pre-orders are live now. Check out a live studio take of “Sunshine Sue” below:
