French alternative rock group September Again has returned with Mirrors, a new music video that dives deep into themes of identity, emotional tension, and self-reflection. It comes just weeks after the band released the single Distorted and Sweet and marks a bold step forward as they prepare for their upcoming third full-length album, due in 2025.
Mirrors is a visual and musical piece built on contrast. The video shows quiet, focused imagery while the music blends post-rock, trip-hop, and dream pop with moments of heavier sound. It’s a track that sits between calm and chaos, clarity and confusion. Rather than telling a clear story, the video feels like a mirror itself—inviting viewers to reflect on their own inner worlds.
This is the band’s first visual release since Superstitions nearly a decade ago. But September Again has never stopped moving. Since forming in 2015, they’ve worked to blend different styles—mixing alternative rock with electronic textures, metal energy, and moody atmospheres. Their debut album Insomniac arrived in 2017 after the release of early single Falls. In 2020, they followed it up with From Nothing to Nowhere, continuing to refine their emotional and cinematic sound.
Even the pandemic couldn’t slow the band down. After touring across France, they returned to the studio to shape their next album. Mirrors is one of the first hints at what’s coming—and it’s a strong one.
Fans of bands like Deftones, Archive, Massive Attack, Thrice, and Incubus will feel at home in the layered sound of Mirrors. But September Again is less interested in copying their influences and more focused on making something personal. This isn’t just a music video—it’s an experience. A quiet storm.
