UK pop-punk band Neck Deep is back with a brand new single, “You Should See Me Now,” out now through Hopeless Records. The track is loud, fast, and full of energy — a strong return that shows why the band continues to stand out in the genre. It’s about staying strong, believing in yourself, and proving others wrong.
Lead singer Ben Barlow says the song is about “hard work, self-belief, and the struggle through adversity.” He added that the band doesn’t usually show off, but this song was a good way to be proud of what they’ve achieved. Even though “You Should See Me Now” didn’t make it onto their latest album at first, the band felt it was too good to leave behind.
The song was produced by Will Yip, known for his work with bands like Turnstile, Movements, and Tigers Jaw. It comes shortly after Neck Deep announced their fall tour with The Story So Far. The tour will hit cities like Chicago, Brooklyn, Denver, and Orlando. Joining them on the road are Origami Angel and Pain Of Truth.
Neck Deep have drawn clear inspiration from late ‘90s emo bands like The Get Up Kids, and Saves The Day, especially in their blend of emotional lyrics with catchy, guitar-driven melodies. These bands helped shape a sound that mixes vulnerability with energy, something Neck Deep have carried forward in their own ways bringing that style of late 90’s and early 2000's emo sound into the present.
Earlier this year, Neck Deep released a self-titled album packed with strong, emotional tracks. Fans have praised songs like “Dumbstruck, Dumbf**k,” “Sort Yourself Out,” and “They May Not Mean To (But They Do).” The record shows the band’s growth while keeping their sound loud and honest.
Formed over ten years ago in Wrexham, Wales, Neck Deep started small but have become one of the biggest names in modern British rock. Their music has earned them top-charting albums, global tours, and over a billion streams.
