Nashville-based punk band Winona Fighter is heading back on the road. After wrapping up the first leg of their Yes, Chef Tour, which included sold-out shows in cities like Nashville, Denver, and Los Angeles, the group has now announced more headline dates. The second leg begins May 31st in Cleveland, with new stops added in cities like Brooklyn, Phoenix, and San Diego.
The band, made up of singer Coco Kinnon, guitarist Dan Fuson, and bassist/producer Austin Luther, is known for their energetic live shows and honest lyrics. Alongside the tour news, they released a music video for the song “You Look Like A Drunk Phoebe Bridgers,” which comes from their debut album MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF. The video gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s daily life on tour, showing their fun moments before and after shows, and the powerful connection they share with their audience.
Formed in Nashville after Coco moved from Boston, Winona Fighter first made waves with their 2022 EP Father Figure. Their new album, released by Rise Records, re-records three earlier songs and adds a full set of fresh, hard-hitting tracks. Songs like “Swear To God That I’m (FINE)” and “I’M IN THE MARKET TO PLEASE NO ONE” combine catchy hooks with sharp emotions and strong messages. Coco’s songwriting is often personal, addressing real struggles with honesty and strength.
One standout track, “DON’T WALLOW,” ends the album on a high note. It turns a tough moment—handing out flyers outside a festival they weren’t invited to—into a powerful message about staying determined, even when things are hard.
