Harrisburg, PA’s long-running power-pop outfit The Jellybricks have returned with Dreaming in Stereo, their eighth studio album, set to drop February 7 via Wicked Cool Records. Alongside the album announcement, the band has shared its lead single, “Devil’s A Day Away,” now streaming on all platforms.
The track showcases the group’s signature blend of punchy rhythms, tightly woven harmonies, and infectious melodies. Produced by Geoff Sanoff (known for his work with Jesse Malin and Bush Tetras), the song bridges The Jellybricks’ knack for timeless hooks with a polished, modern edge. The Jellybricks' sound pays homage to decades of melodic rock, pulling influences from the British Invasion through ’90s alternative rock.
“This is some of our best work yet,” says guitarist/vocalist Larry Kennedy. “We’re so proud to share these 12 new tracks. They’re a culmination of years of collaboration and growth, recorded with the help of Geoff Sanoff at Renegade Studios in NYC and Michael Washkevich at MDW Productions in Harrisburg. We also had the pleasure of featuring guest appearances from Doug Gillard of Guided By Voices and Nada Surf.”
For over two decades, The Jellybricks have earned a reputation for their captivating live performances and consistent output of catchy, harmony-driven rock. Having shared stages with bands like Live and Goo Goo Dolls, the group has steadily built a loyal following. Their accolades include multiple “Coolest Song in the World” designations from Stevie Van Zandt’s Underground Garage and a Best Rock Band award from the Central PA Music Hall of Fame.
With Dreaming in Stereo, the band embraces their history while pushing their craft forward. “Devil’s A Day Away” is a reminder of why The Jellybricks remain a cornerstone of the power-pop genre: their songs are both nostalgic and fresh, combining raw emotion with razor-sharp precision.
In a genre that often leans on repetition, The Jellybricks bring authenticity and energy to their work. Dreaming in Stereo feels like an exciting new chapter for a band that’s built its legacy on perseverance and passion. The Jellybricks embody everything that makes power-pop enduring—sharp songwriting, undeniable hooks, and an ability to balance sincerity with electrifying energy.
