Suburban Eyes Drop Fresh Indie Rock Vibes with “4AM” Video

Suburban Eyes, a new indie trio made up of members from notable '90s and early-'00s bands like Christie Front Drive, Mineral, and Boys Life, has released their self-titled debut album. The album, produced by Jeremy Gomez and mixed by Grammy-winning Peter Katis, offers a fresh take on indie rock, blending jangly guitars with dreamy soundscapes and catchy pop hooks.

Their latest single, "4AM," captures the essence of their unique sound. The song's music video, now streaming online, showcases the carefree innocence of youth as it follows three cousins exploring a summer day together. The video's theme of nostalgia connects deeply with the song's title, which was inspired by the announcement of jazz legend Wayne Shorter's passing. Eric Richter, one of the band’s members, chose the time of 4 a.m. for its symbolic meaning and connection to the song's themes of youth and memory.

The album, which features nine tracks, combines fast-paced energy with moments of introspective calm. The members, who have extensive histories in the indie scene, bring their individual sounds into a new direction that doesn't simply repeat their past bands. Instead, Suburban Eyes offers a new, more mature version of their style, influenced by their life experiences and years of musical growth.

Suburban Eyes’ self-titled debut is a reflection of both personal and creative evolution. As Gomez shares, the album came at the perfect time in his life, allowing him to reconnect with his bandmates and create something fulfilling. Anderson echoes this sentiment, calling the project one of the most rewarding experiences of his life.

With "4AM" and their debut album, Suburban Eyes prove they have created something original that stands apart from their previous work, offering listeners a blend of nostalgic sound and fresh energy. The band's unique mix of indie rock, nostalgic influences, and introspective lyrics is sure to resonate with longtime fans and newcomers alike.
