Ebolagoldfish Unleash Explosive New Album Bad Choices Good Times!

Sydney punk rockers Ebolagoldfish are set to make waves with their fourth album, Bad Choices Good Times, which dropped in late fall. Released through Pee Records (Australia), Bearded Punk (EU), Cat’s Claw (UK), and Double Helix (U.S.), the album is a high-energy mix of fast-paced anthems and satirical storytelling that perfectly captures the band’s signature sound.

For over 20 years, Ebolagoldfish has been a hidden gem in Sydney’s underground scene. The three-piece band, led by brothers Andy and Gavan McDougall, has built a reputation for combining tight melodies with sharp humor. Their music is rooted in punk but isn’t afraid to branch into playful, party-friendly vibes. Known for their clever lyrics and close harmonies, the group’s live performances burst with passion and technical precision.

The title track and lead single, “Bad Choices Good Times,” is a standout. With its infectious energy, the song takes listeners on a journey through hangouts, hangovers, and the all-too-familiar “walk of shame.” As the band explains, the song “celebrates the fun in failure,” turning life’s mishaps into an adventurous ride on what they humorously call the “magical porcelain school bus.”

Recorded at Def Wolf Studios with Daniel Antix, the album features a host of guest vocalists, including Billy Demos, Vetty Vials, and Lauren Astill. The collaborative energy adds new layers to the band’s already dynamic sound. The record’s production is crisp and full of life, thanks to Antix’s work alongside the band.

Ebolagoldfish’s recent achievements include tours with Californian punk legends Guttermouth and contributions to Pee Records’ Pee Approved Volume 6 compilation. These milestones have further solidified their position as a must-hear act in the global punk scene.

Bad Choices Good Times promises a mix of rebellious anthems and introspective moments, offering something for both long-time fans and newcomers. Whether you’re drawn to their biting wit or their unforgettable melodies, Ebolagoldfish proves they’re still at the top of their game.
