Southern California punk rockers For Closure are set to release their debut album, Cliffside Serenades, on November 8, 2024, through Mindpower Records. The band, formed in 2023, brings decades of experience to the table, with its members having played in numerous well-known punk and power-pop groups over the years. Vocalist Gizz Lazlo, guitarist Luis Estefania, drummer Wal Rashidi, bassist Steve Wilenkin, and guitarist Marc Maxey have all been part of the Southern California punk scene for decades, performing with bands like Dr. Know, U.K. Subs, F.Y.P., and more.
Cliffside Serenades will feature several of the group’s previously released singles, including “Carousel,” “Moon at Noon,” and “Careful What You Wish For.” Their latest single, “One More Day,” can now be streamed online. The song is a heartfelt tribute written by Lazlo in memory of a friend who passed away, combining upbeat power-pop energy with deeply emotional lyrics about loss and remembrance. Lazlo has said the song is now dedicated to all the loved ones the band has lost over the years.
Since coming together, For Closure has made a strong impact on the Southern California music scene, playing venues across Los Angeles and San Diego counties, and even performing in Northern California.
