Frank Turner Breaks Records and Announces North American Tour Ahead of 3000th Show

As Frank Turner approaches the monumental milestone of his 3000th sold-out show at London's iconic Alexandra Palace on February 22, 2025, the seasoned British singer-songwriter is far from slowing down. In fact, Turner has announced another leg of his North American tour for the fall, produced by Live Nation. This leg kicks off at the Egyptian Room at Old National Centre in Indianapolis, IN on August 27, and will cover 11 dates across the U.S. Midwest and select Canadian markets, culminating in Turner’s highly anticipated Lost Evenings VII Festival in Toronto from September 19-22. General on-sale tickets will be available from June 7 at 10 a.m. local time, with further details accessible via Turner’s official website.

Recently, on May 4-5, Turner embarked on a groundbreaking endeavor: the first-ever Music Venue Trust world record attempt for the most official shows performed in different cities within 24 hours. Defying expectations, Turner smashed the record by performing 15 solo shows across the UK, each held at an independent venue and ticketed by an independent record shop. This feat surpassed previous records set by Hunter Hayes and The Flaming Lips. Supported by London’s No. 1 Taxi app FREENOW, Turner traveled nearly 500 miles in e-taxis to achieve this impressive milestone. Reflecting on the experience, Turner remarked, “I’m extremely proud — and yet more exhausted — after completing the challenge to get the world record. The main drive for me was to highlight the work of independent venues and record shops and the Music Venue Trust, as well as bringing over 3000 people together in 24 hours for a good time.”

This record-breaking attempt coincided with the release of Turner’s 10th studio album, Undefeated, which dropped on May 3. The album continues to explore Turner's introspective yet outward-looking songwriting, blending themes of personal evolution and societal observation. It delves into the contrast between youthful aspirations and midlife realities, exploring topics like enduring love, the fading of friendships, the lingering impact of the pandemic, and the mundane yet relentless issue of back pain. Undefeated is available for streaming and purchase, with a standout physical format being a limited edition picture disc featuring photography captured by a vintage tintype camera.

Frank Turner’s relentless drive and passion for music not only solidify his place in contemporary rock but also highlight his unwavering commitment to supporting grassroots venues and independent music culture. As he continues to tour and create, Turner remains a vital force, bringing people together through the power of live music and shared experiences.
