Bogota punkers LAPM have released their new album entitled "Laberinto" via Tropical Punk Records featuring their single "Incompleto." The pristine masters we received here at BMN could only be attributed to the signature sound The Blasting Room, home of Jason Livermore and Bill Stevenson, where countless punk masterpieces have been crafted. This record earns its place among them. The single is a punchy, well-executed pop-punk nugget and a loving tribute to family. The guitars carefully balance melody and chord progressions without becoming clumsy, something that happens all too often in this particular genre as overzealous guitarists are prone to tastelessly encroach on vocal melodies. After each verse, LAPM leans hard on that chorus, and i'll be honest: I had no fucking idea what they were saying until i looked up the lyrics (all the lyrics are sung in Spanish); but I'm glad they do it so often because that shit is catchy. Do yourself a favor and give their single and full album a listen. For fans of No Use For a Name, Face to Face, Belvedere, The Fullblast.
