This EP starts out with a very mellow solo singer and single guitar and then hits you with a wall of sound. In one moment it sounds a little like the band Failure with odd melodies and grinding loud bass riffs but quickly moves into a more straight forward top 40, 30 Seconds to Mars vibe. Slick production makes this track sound radio ready but it feels like they might have missed the boat on playing this style of music as it’s heyday was about 20 years ago. However for fans of things like Incubus, Staind, and more scene things like Taking Back Sunday or Thursday this might be up their alley. It’s not exactly my taste but they do what they do very well. It’s dark, it’s heavy but melodic all the while and sure to get asses moving at their live show.
