This track screams early 90’s vibe and that’s a good thing. In my head this is a video I’d see on 120 minutes somewhere around 1996 and it’s a group that features members of Weezer, Failure and Fountains Of Wayne. This is like the poster child for post punk with a few ounces of glam things thrown in like Stone Temple Pilots or something like that. You can tell from the video these guys look like scene types so I’m guessing live this has a little more edge to it but the slick production really takes me back to the days when good bands were on the radio. The partially screamy “gasoline” chorus gets stuck in your head and will be the reason you add this to your “Kind of 90’s” playlist on Spotify.
