Boston rock and roll wrecking crew Casket Rats have unleashed the official music video for “Stealin’,” a full-throttle live clip pulled from their debut album Rat City Rockers, out now via Tee Pee Records. Filmed at The Middle East in Cambridge during the band’s raucous record release show, the video captures the Rats in their natural habitat: loud, sweaty, and unapologetically dialed to maximum volume.
“Stealin’” is pure street-level rock and roll. Built on snarling riffs, thunderous bass, and punchy drums, the track barrels forward with swagger and grit. It’s the kind of song that throws its fist in the air before the first chorus even hits. Vocally raw and driven by attitude, it channels the classic hard rock spirit of bands who built their reputations on volume, velocity, and attitude rather than polish.
The video, directed and edited by longtime collaborator Justin Maloney, keeps things simple and effective. No frills, no distractions—just the band onstage delivering the goods. Shot during their album release party, the footage shows the connection between band and crowd, a tight unit fueled by distortion and devotion. It’s a reminder that Casket Rats are built for the stage first and foremost.
Rat City Rockers, released last November, is a nine-track blast of unfiltered rock fury. Produced and mixed by Alex Garcia-Rivera and recorded fully analog at Mystic Valley Studios, the album embraces classic hard rock structure with modern bite. Themes of excess, rebellion, lust, and redemption run throughout, delivered with a sense of urgency that never lets up.
Fronted by bassist and vocalist Keith Bennett alongside Brendan O’Hare, Goose, and Phil “Fast Phil” Slopak, the band lean heavily into their love of classic ’70s and ’80s hard rock without apology. The result is an album that feels immediate and physical, rooted in riffs and sweat rather than trends.
With the release of the “Stealin’” video, Casket Rats double down on their mission: loud guitars, zero compromise, and total commitment to rock and roll. Rat City Rockers is out now on vinyl and digital platforms, and “Stealin’” stands as one of its fiercest calling cards.
