Sydney Sprague Releases “Long Island” Ahead of New Album 'Peak Experience'

Sydney Sprague has released her new single and music video for “Long Island,” a vivid and emotionally charged track from her upcoming album Peak Experience, arriving September 26. The song blends restless guitar tones with layered melodies, creating an atmosphere that feels both urgent and hypnotic. Lyrically, it navigates the fine line between vulnerability and self-protection.

“When you have to choose between connection and self-preservation because the truth is too messy or just too impossible to communicate,” Sprague says about the song. “It’s a desperate plea for a moment of relief from the horrors. It’s a genuine request for another long island iced tea.”

Peak Experience is described as a coming-of-age soundtrack for the chronically anxious, set against a backdrop of sharp, guitar-driven indie rock. Sprague, who grew up in the surreal heat of Phoenix, channels both the heaviness and the humor of modern life into songs that balance introspective lyrics with bursts of cathartic sound. Her writing captures the feeling of overthinking at 2 a.m. and transforms it into something loud, memorable, and full of texture.

“Long Island” joins previously released singles “Flat Circle,” “Fair Field,” and “As Scared As Can Be” on the album. Other tracks include “Critical Damage,” “Deads in the Van,” “All Covered In Snow,” and “Your Favorite.” The record promises a range of moods, from tense and restless to warm and reflective, all tied together by Sprague’s unflinching honesty and inventive arrangements.

Before launching her headline tour, Sprague will perform with The Format at the sold-out Arizona State Fair on September 27. Her U.S. headline run begins October 24 in Oklahoma City and wraps November 22 in Austin, Texas. The 22-date tour will feature support from Gabrielle Grace and include stops at intimate, high-energy venues such as Mercury Lounge in New York, The Earl in Atlanta, and The Secret Group in Houston.

Sprague’s earlier albums introduced her as a songwriter unafraid to turn complicated feelings into vibrant, guitar-fueled anthems. With Peak Experience, she sharpens that approach, offering an album that is as emotionally layered as it is sonically dynamic.
