According to frontman Josh Thomas, the track reflects the challenges of trying to make a difference in a world where the wealthy hold most of the power. He explains that despite the system being skewed in favor of the rich, it's crucial to keep striving for change and doing interesting things. The song uses the metaphor of tea candles floating on an ocean, symbolizing how fragile life can be. Even though the world might seem unfair, Thomas encourages people to make the most of their time.

RxGhost is led by Josh Thomas, known from his previous bands High Diving Ponies and Spidermums.
