I’ve known of this band for 20 years or more and their pre-cursor Smackin Isaiah just from seeing them on flyers and opening or closing shows that I was at but I don’t think I ever caught them. Now listening to this takes me back to 1999 and they sound exactly how I pictured they sound. That’s not a bad thing, this is very inline with Propagandhi, Big Wig, etc. It’s that last round of 90’s punk before millenials killed it, that mix of metal and speed along with pop punk. 18 year old me would buy the 7inch and be very into this. For those of you looking for that nostalgia or if you are an angry teen this is going to be right up your alley. The songs seem silly in this day and age to me but I get it, someones gotta carry the torch of the hardcore and punk scene. I’d like to imagine somewhere in Massachusetts there’s gonna be hall shows with a line out the door waiting to see this band for the rest of eternity. Maybe that’s a sign that when a band sticks it out for this long we get spoiled in knowing they will always be there when nostalgia hits.
“This is our most unapologetically earnest album to date,” said Reilly. “It's our fifth full-length record and it feels like our first in that we feel we have so much more to say and energy to put out into the world.”
